Superiority:
Black Powder, insoluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, chloroform, pyridine, toluene, soluble in o-chlorophenol, xylene, and tetralin. It appears dark purple in concentrated sulfuric acid, and forms a dark purple precipitate after dilution. Application:
Vat green 9 is used in the dyeing cotton fibers, treated with oxidants (such as sodium hypochlorite or sodium nitrite and concentrated sulfuric acid) after dyeing, and also used for dyeing viscose fiber, silk, wool, vinylon and cotton blended fabrics.
