Product Description:
(1)Ordinary sodium nitrite: white fine crystals, or light yellow.
(2)Dry powder sodium nitrite: white crystal, no lumps, loose. Specific gravity 2.168, odourless, slightly salty, easily deliquescent, easily soluble in water, melting point of 271°C, decomposition temperature of 320°C, oxidative and reductive. Slowly oxygenated into sodium nitrate in air, easy to form nitrogen compounds with amino groups at low temperature.
(3)Food grade Sodium Nitrite is a white or slightly yellowish rhombohedral crystal or powder, molecular formula NaNo2, melting point 271°C, slightly salty, easy to deliquesce, soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline, in the air can be slowly oxidised into sodium nitrate.
Application:
(1)Mainly used as raw materials for manufacturing nitro compounds, azo dyes, etc., mordant for fabric dyeing, bleaching agent, as well as for metal heat treatment agent, cement early strength agent and anti-icing agent.
(2)Food grade Sodium Nitrite is mainly used as colouring agent in meat processing. It is added in food according to the regulations, but excessive intake will cause harm to human body.
