Silicone Polyether
Product Description:
Silicone polyether, or silicone surfactant, is a series of polyether modified
polydimethylsiloxanes. It can be varied by molecular weight, molecular structure (pendant/linear) and the composition of the polyether chain (EO/PO), and the ratio of siloxane to polyether. Depending on the ratio of ethylene oxide to propylene oxide, these molecules can be water soluble, dispersible or insoluble. It is nonionic surfactant and can be used in both aqueous and non-aqueous systems. Due to its special chemical structure, Topwin SPEs has the following advantages:
Low surface tension as surface tension depressant
Excellent penetration
Good emulsifying and dispersing properties
Good compatibility with organic surfactants
High efficiency and low usage
Excellent lubricity
Low toxicity
Colorcom’s silicone polyethers have unique functions and are widely used in various industries:
Superwetting and superspreading adjuvant as agricultural chemicals
Polyurethane foam stabilizer
leveling and anti crater additive for coating and ink
Enhance the dispersion and efficiency of formulated defoamers and also act as defoamers above their cloud point in the manufacture of paper and paperboard for indirect food contact
Recommended as lubricant and wetting/spreading agent in textile application
Emulsifiers for personal Care Applications.
