Product Description:
Potassium Nitrate is colourless transparent rhombohedral crystals or powder, particles, relative density 2.109, melting point 334°C, heat to about 400°C when liberated from oxygen, and converted into potassium nitrite, continue to heat the decomposition of potassium oxide and nitrogen oxide. Soluble in water, liquid ammonia and glycerol; insoluble in anhydrous ethanol and ether. It is not easily deliquesced in air and is an oxidising agent.
Application:
(1)Mainly used in fine chemicals, organic chemicals heat-conducting molten salt (melamine, phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, o-phenylphenol anhydride), metal heat treatment, special glass, cigarette paper, also used as a catalyst and mineral processing agent. Fireworks, black gunpowder, matches, fuse, candle wicks, tobacco, colour TV picture tubes, drugs, chemical reagents, catalysts, ceramic glaze, glass, composite fertilizers, and foliar spray fertilizers for flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and other cash crops. In addition, the metallurgical industry, food industry, etc. will be potassium nitrate used as auxiliary materials.
(2)Photoelectric Grade Potassium Nitrate adopts special multi-stage purification process to effectively control the impurities affecting the tempering production, minimise the impact of impurities on the interference of tempering production, so that the glass strengthened CS, DOL significantly improved, the special process makes the photoelectric grade potassium nitrate has a better natural activity, high purity (99.8% or more), and at the same time make the service life of the photoelectric grade potassium nitrate longer.
(3)Used as a fertiliser for vegetables, fruit and flowers, as well as for some chlorine-sensitive crops.
(4)It is used in the manufacture of gunpowder explosives.
(5)It is used as a catalyst in medicine.
