Product Description:
It is a new tri-ketone herbicide developed by Zeneca Agrochemicals. Chemicalbook can be used in pre- or post-emergence control of annual broadleaf weeds and several grasses in maize fields, including most of the important broadleaf weeds such as cranberry, abutilon, quinoa, amaranth, polygonum, lobelia and ragweed, and some grasses such as young barnyardgrass, martan, dogwood, brachyurum and others.
Application:
(1) Hexazinone is a potent inhibitor of HPPD, an enzyme that is widely present in various organisms and catalyzes the initiation of plastoquinone and tocopherol biosynthesis. HPPD is inhibited, resulting in tyrosine accumulation in plant meristematic tissues and plastid quinone depletion. The plant bleaches and gradually dies.
