Product Description:
It is a white crystalline powder at room temperature, with a mouldy pungent odour. It is soluble in acetone, polyethylene glycol, benzene, ethanol and other organic solvents, and slightly soluble in water, its aqueous solution is more stable under acidic conditions, but easily decomposed under alkaline conditions. Dibromo cyanoacetamide is a toxic chemical with moderate toxicity and is harmful by inhalation, skin contact and ingestion.
Application:
(1) Dibromo cyanoacetamide is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, algaecide and industrial wastewater treatment agent.
(2) Dibromo cyanoacetamide is a broad-spectrum, highly effective industrial bactericide. It is used to prevent the growth and multiplication of bacteria and algae in paper, industrial circulating cooling water, lubricating oil for metalworking, pulp, wood, paint and plywood, and as a slime control agent. It is widely used in paper mill pulp and circulating cooling water systems, industrial cooling water, air-conditioning water, lubricating oil for metalworking, water emulsion, pulp, wood, plywood and paint, and as a highly effective Biocides. Dibromo cyanoacetamide rapidly penetrates the cell membranes of microorganisms and acts on certain protein groups to suspend the normal redox of the cell, thus causing cell death. At the same time, its branches can also selectively brominate or oxidise specific enzyme metabolites of microorganisms, ultimately leading to their death. The product has good stripping properties, no foam when used, the liquid product is miscible with water in any ratio and is low in toxicity. Good results can be achieved by using 15ppm of 20% DBNPA. It not only controls the microorganisms, but also strips off the clumps of slime originally stuffed with fillers and restores the evaporation efficiency of the cooling tower.
