Product Description:
Copper Nitrate Trihydrate has three kinds of hydrates: trihydrate, hexahydrate and ninhydrate, the trihydrate is dark blue columnar crystal, relative density 2.05, melting point 114.5°C. Heating copper nitrate at 170°C decomposition of insoluble alkali salts, continue to heat is transformed into copper oxide. Easily soluble in water and ethanol, its aqueous solution is acidic, easy to absorb moisture. Copper nitrate is a strong oxidising agent, it can cause combustion and explosion when heated, rubbed or hit with charcoal, sulphur or other combustible materials.
Application:
(1)Copper Nitrate Trihydrate is used as catalyst, oxidising agent, phosphor activator and photosensitive resistor material.
(2)Copper Nitrate for agriculture is commonly used as an additive for copper trace elements in fertilisers.
