Product Description:
Chromium·Trichloride is dark green crystal, easily deliquescent. Relative density 2.76, melting point 86-90°CI. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is acidic. Soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in ether.
Application:
Chromium·Trichloride is the raw material for the manufacture of chromium fluoride and other chromium salts in the chemical industry, and is used in the manufacture of chromium-containing catalysts and olefin polymerisation catalysts; it is used in the manufacture of a variety of chromium-containing pigments in the pigment industry; it is used as a mordant for textile dyeing and printing and as an intermediate in tanning in the dyeing industry; it is used for ceramics and glaze in the ceramic industry; it is used in the plating industry in the form of trivalent chromium.
