Chloromethane is mainly used as raw materials for silicone, also used as solvents, refrigerants, fragrances, etc.
Application
(1)Synthesis of methylchlorosilane. Methylchlorosilane is an indispensable raw material for the preparation of silicone materials.
(2)It is used in the production ofquaternary ammonium compounds, pesticides, and as a solvent in the production of isobutyl rubber.
(3)It is used to produce organosilicon compounds - methyl chlorosilane, and methyl cellulose.
(4)It is also widely used assolvent, extractant, propellant, cooling agent, local anesthetic, and methylation reagent.
(5)Used in the production of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, spices and so on.
