| Solubility | Soluble in water, acetone, benzene, ether, methanol, carbon tetrachloride and other organic solvents and mineral oil.
It can be completely miscible with water at about 46°C. Can dissolve natural resins, ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, alkyd resins, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl acetate, grease and paraffin. |
Product Chemical Properties:
1.Avoid contact with air. Prohibit contact with strong oxidising agents, strong acids, acyl chlorides, acid anhydrides, halogens.
2.Low toxicity with this product. Non-corrosive to metals. Has the general chemical properties of alcohol.
3.Present in mainstream fumes.
Product Application:
1.This product is mainly used as a high boiling point solvent for paints, especially nitro spray paints, quick-drying paints, varnishes, enamels and paint strippers, which can be used for anti-fogging, anti-wrinkle, and to improve the glossiness and fluidity of the paint film. Also used as adhesive inactive diluent, metal detergent, paint stripper, fibre wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, drug extractant, resin plasticizer, organic synthesis intermediates. Reagent for the determination of iron and molybdenum. Improve the emulsification performance and dissolve mineral oil in the soap auxiliary solvent.
2.Used as inactive diluent of adhesive, metal detergent, paint stripper, fibre wetting agent, pesticide dispersant, drug extractant, resin plasticizer and organic synthesis intermediates. It is also used as high boiling point solvent for paints, especially nitro spray paints, which can prevent fogging, anti-wrinkle, and improve the gloss and fluidity of paint film.
Product Storage Notes:
1.Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. Packaging requirements sealed, not in contact with air.
2.It should be stored separately from oxidising agents, acids, etc., and should not be mixed. Should not be stored in large quantities or for a long time.
3.Equipped with appropriate varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable shelter materials.
